A total of 22 new members were inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing on Dec. 14, in the Performing Arts Center at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. Each inductee received a lavender and white honorary cord, along with an inductee ribbon from Eta Omicron chapter officers. Eta Omicron is the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International and was chartered in 1984.
Students from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi concluded many years of hard work and determination today, Saturday, Dec. 16 at the American Bank Center located in downtown Corpus Christi. More than 840 Island University students from all five of colleges walked the stage and received their diplomas during two fall 2017 commencement ceremonies.

Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, College of Nursing and Health Sciences will be hosting an accreditation site visit for the DNP program by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) February, 5-7th 2018. CCNE policy requires that institutions provide an opportunity for the program’s identified communities of interest including students, faculty and the practice community (including potential employers) to provide written input into the deliberations of the evaluation team. Written and signed third-party comments will be accepted by CCNE up to 21 days (January 15th, 2018) prior to the start of the accreditation visit.
